Getting There

So to figure out the driving. Fiona and Tex are going to be going down to DC on the Fri before vacation and AG is heading down on Mon. The rest of us are leaving Sat morning, I am proposing that we pack up the cars the Fri night before vacation (at FRCH?) so we can leave bright and early the next morning (at 5am?). I was wondering if anyone would be interested in trying to fit into 2 cars? As we pack the night before we can see if we fit - if we don't, then we take 3 cars. We can send some of our bigger items (like liquor, sand chairs, pool rafts, games, etc.) down with Fi, we just need to get them to her earlier in the week. The benefits that I see in taking the 2 cars is it will be more fun having more people in the car plus then someone can sleep while the other(s) keep the driver entertained/awake. AG will be coming home with us so we can spread out a little more then. Oh and less gas money and saving the environment!

Short recap:
- pack Fri night at FRCH at 7pm?
- possibly try 2 cars?
- Erin's car: Josh, Erin and Kelli
- Ralph's car; Ralph, Matthew, Tina and A
- leave Sat morning at 5am?

I have to be at a wedding at 6:30 on Friday night, so I can load cars or drop stuff off, as long as it's like 430 or 5?!?!

I don't care how many cars.

I don't know how much stuff people are taking on vacation. I really would like some room in my car. I'm a space person, can't help it. I don't need anyone up to help me drive... Anthony only stays awake for 2 hours then he nods off (little bastard). I'm just looking for fun folks.

PS. My back seats don't fold down and my trunk is not the largest.

Perhaps we should re-think renting a mini-van. I can get a mini-van for $450 for the week. Considering what gas will cost - this might be a option. Minivan and Ralph drive down. Fi comes and goes as she pleases. Adam, Ralph and minivan drive home.

Dutch, I think we'll be ok without the minivan. If we do need three cars, mine will be sitting there ready to go. The issue really isn't "cargo capacity" since it is mainly a device to carry a few bags and 2-3 personnel. We'd be paying for gas with a van OR a third car (and my car-loaded probably gets better mpg than a van-loaded) and then we'd be paying at least a third to half again the rental cost in gas, I think the car is a better choice. -Just my .02

Wait, if my bruise doesn't go down, we may need a car just for it!

Laid-back Tina is in full effect. I could care less, as long as I'm in a car and have my stuff and cool people. 2 cars, 3 cars - we'll figure out what we need Friday.

Thanks for sorting this out ya'll (kelli) Ye-haaaw.

Sweet. so if you have big stuff you don't need friday(ie. towels, beach chairs, rafts, liquor, board games, bruises...) call me next week and we'll arrange an exchange.
