Yeah - we all thought you had "Dream Theater". I'm the only douche that has it.

As the friday apathy towards work sets in I bestow upon you my 2006 Top 10 Album lists. Not that you're paying attention, but since I'm not buying all that much new music anymore I did two lists, one of albums released in 2006, and the other of my favorite old records I picked up during 2006. And there:

(in no particular order)
Released in 2006
- Cut Chemist "The Audience's Listening"
- Thom York "The Eraser"
- Ratatat "Classics"
- Subtle "for hero: for fool"
- Jel "Soft Money"
- Joe Beats "Indie Rock Blues"
- Gnarls Barkley "St.Elsewhere"
- Outkast "Idlewild Soundtrack"
- Soul Position "Things Go Better With RJ and Al"
- Grizzly Bear "Yellow House"

Old Rrecords (mostly from the early 70's)
- Funkadelic "Maggot Brain"
- Larry Coryell "Coryell"
- Allen Toussaint "From A Whisper To A Scream"
- Gabor Szabo "High Contrast"
- Aurthur Verocai s/t
- Curtis Mayfield "Curtis"
- James Brown "Get On The Good Foot"
- Velvet Underground "Loaded"
- Bob Dylan s/t
- Neil Young "Harvest Moon"

I also didn't buy a lot of entire albums this past year (I've been an itunes whore purchasing mad $.99 singles!), however, here are a few I would add to the list:

1. John Mayer "Continuum"
2. Bob Dylan "Modern Times" (Hey, somebody has to add Dylan to the list!)
3. Mark Erelli "Hope and other Casualties" (thanks Doctor for introducing me to this one!)

and here are a couple I meant to acquire and never did:

1. Regina Spektor "Begin to Hope"
2. Decemberists "The Crane Wife"
3. Carrie Underwood "Some Hearts"
